Bloom Stool
The Bloom Stool was designed to highlight the overlooked sculptural qualities of agglomerated cork. With a unique tactile and acoustic profile, cork is used primarily as a veneer in the architectural sphere; with digital fabrication techniques its ability to be sculpted extends beyond into the realm of three dimensional forms.
Using CNC fabrication techniques, the seat of the Bloom Stool was carved from a block of laminated cork. The seat is supported by a polished steel base that is held by grooves on the seat’s underside.
