Warp and Weft Research Museum
This project was developed as part of my Masters thesis at the Melbourne School of Design. Beginning with a period of rigourous research, this unit saw the development of first a new paradigm for the storage and sharing of cultural artefacts, before the design of a tangible facility was entered into.
The final design incorporates the need for a myriad of disciplines to co-exist, interact and even newly intersect. Emerging technologies and digital preservation methods take on a central role in classifying and making more accessible than ever the growing collections of the University of Melbourne.
